FAQs

1. What songs do you recommend for my wedding?

There are no ‘rules’ on the types of music you can choose, so feel free to discuss your choices with me. Have a look at my suggested song list but sometimes it can be special to have songs that are meaningfull to you as a couple, so just let me know. Most couples like to have a two or three songs for their wedding plus hymns or the psalm.

2. Do I need to provide an accompanist?

Some churches have an organ and organist to accompany hymns and may be able to accompany your wedding singer. If so, I can provide them with all the music and arrange a short rehearsal before the ceremony. I also have my own accompanist who can be booked through me if you wish and would incurr an extra charge. But I am equally happy to sing with an accomplished organist/pianist/musician of your choice. To save money, I also have my own high-quality pre-recorded accompaniments for many songs - while some songs work best unaccompanied.

3. When would you add songs for a funeral?

Most families ask for a soloist to perform one or two songs either at the beginning or the end of the ceremony or memorial, but I am very happy to sing more songs if you wish and if the duration of the service allows it.

4. Do you teach voice lessons in schools as well?

Yes, I give one to one singing lessons in primary and secondary schools and run choirs and percussion ensembles, as well as theory tuition.

5. How far will you travel?

I am happy to travel anywhere within London zone 6 for no extra charge, but also happy to travel within a 100 mile radius of Greater London, but charging for travel expenses.
